This small original painting is part of the series of sketches called ‘Poésie de Peyriac’. Created during the glorious warm winter months, for my first Open Studios here in France, PeyriArt 2023.
Working on such a small scale, ‘sketching’ on little panels of distressed aluminium, allows me a moment to play with fresh ideas, developing blossoming thought’s on new imagery and techniques.
This series of works were inspired by the curious creatures and breathtaking beauty of the countryside surrounding my new home in the South of France. My sunrise cycles and dawn dips, accompanied only by the break of day brilliance, the flamboyant flamingoes and chattering terns.
